 Visitor's Guide (printme)

  • Each inmate may have a maximum of one (1) adult age 18 or older and (2) children per visit.
  • Children may not run free. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to supervise their children.
  • Adults must have valid photo identification with a current address. 
  • All visitors must sign in at the building where the inmate they are visiting is housed. Main Prison, Tower Lobby Area, Work Release, or West Easton.
  • All visits are 45 minutes in length. Sign-ups for the Main Prison and Tower areas start at 6:30AM to (15) minutes prior to visit start time. Work release sign-ups are (30) minutes prior to visit start time. West Easton sign-ups are on the hour during visitation period scheduled.

  • If you are late for your visit, it will be canceled. 
  • Visitation for Work Release and West Easton Inmates are only for those who do not have outside clearance.
  • Acceptable dress can be jeans and slacks. Skirts, dresses, shorts must be no more than 2" above the knee. All must be worn at the waist. Tops, shirts, sleeveless blouses must completely cover the torso area not to expose underclothing. Shirts/Blouses must cover from neck to arm and must either hang lower than slacks/skirts or be tucked in. NO EXCESSIVELY TIGHT CLOTHING
  • Unacceptable dress includes gym shorts, boxers, short shorts, swim wear, yoga pants, and skinny jeans. No ripped or torn clothing revealing holes. Clothing with reference to alcohol, drugs, sex, violence, and vulgar or obscene language. No halter tops, midriffs, half shirts, tank tops, pajamas, lingerie, or see through clothing of any kind. No bare feet, or any heels three inches (3") or higher. All splits in clothing. No wrap or button down skirts, dresses, or zippers that go top to bottom/front or back. No hooded apparel, hats, or non-religious headgear permitted.

Phone Time

You may purchase phone time for an inmate by following the following link: www.offenderconnect.com. You will need to setup an account and follow the instructions on their website or call the toll free Number: 1-800-483-8314

Aditionally, you may purchase tablet/phone time for the Telemate Tablets for an inmate by following this link: www.gettingout.com. You will need to setup an account and follow the instructions on the website.

Commissary Accounts

You may also transfer monetary funds to an inmate. Please follow the directions provided below.

Friends and family members of an inmate can set up or add money to an Inmate Account for an Inmate to order commissary items. The friend or family member can add money toan inmate commissary account the following ways:

Money Order
· Payable to “Northampton CountyIPP”
· Money Orders must include the inmate full name and permanent I.D. number. Money Order will not be accepted if this information is missing.
· Money Orders must be mailed to the Jail:

· Deposit funds to a specific inmate trust account

· Deposit funds to an inmate commissary account.
· Accepts cash ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100)

· Deposits are available within 24 to 48 hours
· Keep your receipt in case you experience problems with your deposit.

Once an account is established,  Inmates can order their own commissary items via the inmate telephone system. Orders are placed Friday through Sunday. Orders arrive on Tuesday.

Friends and family members, of an inmate, can set up an AdvancePay Telephone Account for the inmate to place telephone calls.
The AdvancePay Telephone Account is associated to one telephone number that is associated to one specific friend or family member.

 Volunteer Services

Make a difference, become a Volunteer

​The Northampton County Department of Corrections offers an array of different programs to the inmate population. Volunteers have a unique value in the County Jail. They integrate those outside, with those, inside to aide in the re-entry process. If you feel a desire to volunteer your time at our institution, please contact the office of Volunteer services Coordinator Chris Gebhardt @ 610-829-7642 or email at : Cgebhardt@norcopa.gov

Volunteer Service for Non-Profit Organizations

All Non-Profit Organizations may participate in the Northampton County Community Service Program. Northampton County inmates will come to your organization and perform duties for your agency at no cost to you.
In order to qualify, you must be a 5013C organization and be able to provide us with your tax id showing your Non-Profit status.
